At its core the most important relationship arc in Avatar the last air bender is the one between Zuko and Aang honestly if you can’t see that then I don’t think we watched the same show.

Aang and Zuko are the true Yin and Yang in the show the push and pull. Fire and Air right down to their personalities.

It is both of them that have to go on the journey of learning that fire is more than just destruction can be used for more than just to hurt.

And that right there is the point it doesn’t matter if Aang defeats Ozai and they bring the fire nation to heel. Without a character like Zuko the fire nation would be lost forever to distrust and unrest, balance would never be reached. Because despite everything they have done all the damage they have wreaked the world still needs the fire nation and to work with the fire nation they need to know that fire can do more than hurt. And who best to show them than a prince who’s been burned himself?

The war started with the fire nation attacking the air nomads in a bid for control and it will end with the fire lord embracing an air nomad and taking ownership of his nations actions. You must first close a book before you can start a new one.

Aang needed Zuko just as Zuko needed him because to get peace a true lasting peace you can’t just cut off the head of a snake you have to change its mind. The world already lost the air nomads the balance is already precarious, it cannot afford to lose the fire nation too.

Afterall Air can snuff out a flame and it can also fan them. But when the two elements are balanced one existing in peace with the other it can also make a warm hearth for the home.

Bea and her cousin Miriam unite at the Aldecaldos camp! And a little sweet moment between Bea and V.

Some Yiddish/Jewish explanations:

Bea opened her eyes and was back in Miriam's trailer. She was in a ripper chair, when she looked around the trailer it had all the same posters about vaccine schedules and childhood development milestones. The only thing missing was an outdated Hebrew calendar. Bea scrambled up and ripped all the leads and IVs out of her. If she was at the Cohen camp then she led Arasaka right to them. She went to pivot in the chair to get up but her right hip felt stiff.

"Panam go get V, she's awake," a woman's voice next to her said. The woman rolled in her stool over to Bea and put her hand on her face, her thumb stroking her face. "Hey Batty," she said.

"M-M-Mi," was all Bea got out before she fainted.

"You said she was awake?" V hissed.

"Well, she was awake," Panam said and rolled her eyes. "Miriam, what happened?"

The ripperdoc turned the surgical lamp off and walked over to V and Panam. Her nose was similar to Bea's but she had a stronger chin. Her salt and pepper hair was pulled back in a loose bun, she had brown eyes and freckles dotting her cheeks and nose. And she had the chevron scars on her face that V got when he nearly joined a Raffen group. "She saw me, started to speak, fainted."

"Why would she do that when she saw you? Who the hell are you?" V didn't recognize her, she certainly wasn't the same ripper when he was hanging out with the Aldecaldos regularly.

"Could have something to do with the fact that I helped deliver her into this god forsaken world," Miriam said. She slapped V on his shoulder as she walked out. "SAUL!" she shouted.

"Jesus, I'm right here woman," Saul said from behind her.

"Oh, there you are. Get a cot ready in our tent," she said.

"Miri," Saul snapped, "It's our night, though."

"I haven't seen that little girl in over a decade and she's brought in by some fucking schmuck outside the family looking like she crawled out of Gehenna herself," Miriam said.

"I mean, I'd say I'm a friend of the family," V said. Miriam gave him a glare that sent him back to his days at the Jewish day school in his megabuilding and getting in trouble for cursing.

Bea looked down at the white shift dress she was wearing. "Is this your burial shroud?" Bea asked.

Miriam opened the door and waved for someone to enter. "Hey, it's only worn once a year anyway and stopped fitting me five years ago. I put it in the rotation with the other medical growns. "Your little beshert is here," she said.

"That's not—" Bea and V said at the same time.

"It's written all over his face when he looks at you, Batty," Miriam said and walked out.

V set a stack of clothes down next to Bea. He had changed out of the white polyester jumpsuit and into a black Samurai t-shirt, jeans, and high top sneakers. "I just grabbed whatever looked clean and casual from your place. There's a couple of my things in there too because, like, you don't really have a lot of regular clothes," V said.

Bea frowned before she remembered her wardrobe was 90% work and 10% her own style. In other words, stripper clothes and heavy duty combat clothes. She picked through the pile, not seeing a single bra or pair of panties in the pile. "You forgot to get me underwear."

V blushed. "All of your underwear looks really uncomfortable if I'm being honest."
